Two-time Juno Award nominee, Belinda Brady, a reggae, pop, soul, and jazz sensation, was born in the beautiful island of Kingston, Jamaica. Belinda was inspired at an early age to pursue her dream of becoming a professional musician/entertainer by her father, Carl Brady, one of the original members of the iconic Byron Lee and the Dragonaires. During her career, Belinda performed as a background vocalist and dancer for internationally renowned reggae artist, Shaggy. Brady also worked with Julian Marley and soca star Denyse Plummer.
Belinda was awarded the UN Women honouree designation in Canada and served as their music ambassador for several years. She was also honoured as one of the 100th Accomplished Black Canadian Women in 2018. Belinda collaborated with producer Leroy ‘Artist’ Brown, Canadian Juno Award winner alongside the legendary rhythm king, Sly Dunbar, on the smash hit ‘Dance With Me’ out now on all Digital Service Provider (DSPs) platforms.
With the horrific Hurricane Melissa that ravaged through the western parts of Jamaica, Belinda has written and composed her new single, “Rise Up,” with her husband and Grammy-nominated and JUNO award-winning producer, Eddie Bullen, to raise funds to help support the people in dire need in Jamaica through the Food for the Poor Jamaica charity.
